Contest winners will discuss 'Life' with author during lunch

Six people have been chosen to have lunch with Mark Spragg during
the author's visit to the area next week.
The lunch time discussion, set for March 9 at the D&R Depot, 63
Lake St., Le Roy, is the prize for a book review contest that was part
of the fifth A Tale for Three Counties community reading project. Entries
consisted of short reviews of Spragg's novel, An Unfinished Life, which
"Tale" is featuring this year.
The winners are Sarah Bass of Silver Springs, Julie B. Caton of Oakfield,
Meghan Hauser of Perry, Frances McNulty and Catherine Roth, both of
Batavia, and Cheri Sheridan of Bergen.
"I really liked that he was able to get the emotion and meaning
in so few words," Sheridan said. "He's an excellent author
and I want to be able to tell him that."
Entries were judged by the "Tale" organizing committee.
About a dozen entries were submitted by readers in Genesee and Wyoming
counties. No entries came from Orleans County.
This was the fourth year of The Daily News-sponsored contest.
Book discussions are scheduled through Tuesday at libraries in Genesee,
Orleans and Wyoming counties.
Spragg visits Thursday through next Saturday, with two talks in Batavia,
and one each in Medina and perry. Each of the author programs include
a question-and-answer session and booksigning with Spragg.
